CREW CHIEF - 44-34297 (J)
This photo was taken in August 1945 at Okinawa by Gene Ryan who served with the 319th BG & the 8th BS of the 3rd BG while at Atsugi Air Base. At this point it wears the markings of the 89th BS with the (Y) identifier. It would go on to be marked with a (J) and with the 13th BS when Joe Stroud was Crew Chief for the aircraft.
